Well we started the new year out a little early, on the 30th of December Mini T hosted a 400 wing party at Hooters in Lewisville. We had about 30 people there and fun was had by all.
On December 31st, New Years' Eve, Len & Lisa hosted another wing party with around 50 attending, this time at the Hooters' in Denton. We all got together to bring in the New Year, 2010. Wow is that a hard one. This year went by so fast.
Here at AEHOG, we had rides all over America. This includes our group rides and of course, the Lone Star Challenge.
The eighth annual Brass Monkey Ride started out the New Year, a day of riding, eating and visiting with our Hog family. What a way to start out the New Year.
The Brass Monkey Ride met at the Krogers on Teasley Road @ 10:30 am and departed 11:00 am with 55 bikes and around 100 riders. Our first stop for lunch was Don and Myra's house and what a layout. We had brisket sandwiches, chips, black eyed peas and drinks. After visiting for an hour we then departed on the second leg of our journey ending up at Tee & Carla's house for desert, drinks and of course, more visiting. This was such a great day, if you missed it please try making it next year.
We at AEHOG invite you to ride as many rides this year as you can.
We at AEHOG look forward to a lot of riding and eating for 2010 and we invite you to join in on the fun. Remember to renew your membership.
Shreveport Ride
(Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez) Let the good times roll, and they did in Shreveport.
A large group of riders left for this ride on Feb. 5 and another group left on Saturday and met them. This ride was put together by Steven Foster, our fun boss. By looking at all the VIP passes, shirts and behind the scenes stuff going on, fun was the main focus for the weekend. Although I didn't get to go, everyone I talked to had a great time and are looking forward to next year.
So far this year, we have had 15 dinner rides, 3 Last Sunday rides and numerous Saturday rides. These rides are short, medium and long, so there are rides for everyone.
Wild Flower Ride
We also had one of our signature rides. The wild Flower ride had a very large turn out this year. The past four years, this ride was great fun, but the flowers were not out. That makes this year very special as the flowers were out in force. Upon arrival, everyone checked in and got settled in. Everyone got together that evening for supper. On Saturday, you were on your own. Some did the three sisters and some just went shopping. Saturday evening everyone got together for another meal and again fun was had by all.
If you have not gone on one of these rides, you just don't know what you are missing. Come join us, check out our calendar and ride with your 2 Million Mile Club.
More to come.
