By January 1, 2009, membership in the American Eagle HOG Chapter (“AEHOG”) grew to 343 Members riding strong.  The 2009 Officer Team consisted of:

 

2009 Highlights 

Continuing and Renewing Traditions

 

AE Hog had/has planned activities on 149 days in 2009

We averaged 12.4 planned events each month with a high of 20 during July

During weekly Wednesday night dinner rides we averaged 27.8 bikes and 43.5 people at the restaurants; average route traveled from the dealership was 16.9 miles.

Kim Christopher won more of the 50/50 prizes (4) for a total of $211

January 1^st. Started off the year with a huge number of bikes 82 and 120 eagles for the Brass Monkey Ride.

January 3^rd. First LOH and General Chapter Meeting.

January  7^th. First Dinner Ride of the year to Johnny G’s in Lewisville.

January 14^th. Dinner Ride to Good Eats in Denton.

January 15^th. First AE HOG Activities Team Meeting at the Landmark Grill in Lewisville.

January 17 AE HOG chili cookoff, lots of good chili in cold weather.

January 21^st. Dinner Ride to B.J. Brewery in Lewisville.

January 25^th. First Last Sunday Breakfast Ride to Snooty Pig.

January 28^th. Last Dinner Ride of the month to the Village Grill in Highland Village

January 31^st. LOH held a Charity Blanket Ride to the Denton State School then on to Babe’s in Sanger for lunch.

February 4^th. Dinner Ride to El Matador in Denton.

February 11^th. Dinner Ride to Red Robin in Flower Mound.

February 13-15 had eagles earning beads on the Mardi Gras Up River ride to Shreveport.

February 18^th. Dinner Ride to Red Neck Heaven in Lewisville.

February 19^th. AE HOG Activities Team Meeting at El Guapo’s in Denton.

February 21^st. 9^th Annual Southwest Regional HOG Chili Bowl held at the Harley dealership in Bedford.

June 7^th 1/2 way Lunch Ride with Storm Riders Chapter of Moore, OK., met in Ardmore and rode to Durant OK for a late catfish lunch.

June 10^th. Dinner Ride to Tierney’s Café and Tavern in Lewisville.

June 13-14 AE HOG NOT ROT Ride Goes Spelunkin' II to Sonora TX.

June 17^th. Dinner Ride to Rudy’s BBQ in Denton.

June 18^th. AE HOG Activities Team Meeting at Logan’s Roadhouse in Lewisville.

On June 20^th we again went to a Frisco Roughriders game.

September 5-7 had Eagles returning to Ruidoso NM for the first time since May 28, 2005.

September 19^th Pass the Pigs, our signature event raised more money for Cumberland Children’s Home than ever before-in a down economy pretty impressive.
